First, I need to apologize for my lack of posting lately. Life gets busy and it just got a little away from me. What have I been doing?
Well, there was the weekend trip to Fort Collins Colorado for my nephews graduation from college, my brother in law's 60th birthday and my niece's birthday. It was a busy weekend but, tons of fun. I love my sister and her family and cherish the time I am able to spend with them.
Those of you who are parents will understand this one. . . we have one of our daughters moving home. Jim and I are excited about this "opportunity" "for now" he says!
After ending a long term relationship, Mandy is going to be spending some time with us. I am truly looking forward to cherishing this time.
And then there was the work issue. . . . with healthcare in a little crisis, ways to cut costs are being looked at and apparently it was seen that my work was not truly needed. So, I have been laid off. It is really hard to have a passion for your work and then have someone tell you that they can survive without it. While I am sure God has another plan for me, there is certainly difficult feelings to wrestle with. And this happened the day before we left for the Stampin' Up! Alaska cruise.
So, here I am in Seattle, getting ready to board the ship today for an exciting adventure. Had a good nights sleep last night – finally cuz, I don't know what my body was running on after a sleepless night on Wednesday. For that matter, I don't know what I packed because I couldn't wrap my mind around packing.
