Papillon Potpourri

on Jun 21st 2012

This cool and classy card was inspired by a catalog sample.  This new stamp set is a perfect match for the new butterfly punch – and look how nicely it matches the paper!   The paper is from the Patio Party DSP set (free for new demonstrators this month!).  I also used the Apothecary Accents framelits.   Just love how it turned out.  Simple and cute!

Are you interested in helping me out a bit?  I am soooo close to a goal – $1100 away. . . . Any orders will help me out.  Here's what I can do for you.  For every $50 (online or other), I will enter you into a drawing for $50 in free products!   Thanks in advance for your help – I'll keep you posted on my progress!

Blessings!

Be of Good Cheer

on Jun 13th 2012

Hey everyone!   Be of Good Cheer!   Yep, that's the name of the product suite that this stamp set and DSP come from.   But, BJ – why in the world are you showing Christmas things in June?   Well, that's because as a demonstrator I received the holiday mini catalog yesterday and I got excited – REALLY excited!!!!   So, excited there were several squeals, OMG's and an almost PIP (pee in pants) moment!    While I can't share any of that with you – yet – I thought you should start being prepared for what is coming.   If you are considering becoming a demonstrator – NOW is the time – I'm just sayin!

OK, enough of that – back to this card made by Sandy Carlson.  The stamp set is Chock Full of Cheer and the DSP is Be of Good Cheer!  What a great combination!   See the product suite on page 8 and 9 in the catalog!

Lots of possibilities with this stamp set and paper!   Yep – get an early start as your creativity juices are going to take off when you get your holiday mini catalog!

Blessings!

Pleasant Poppies

on Jun 10th 2012

When I saw this set in the catalog, I knew I had to have it.  I thought it would be perfect to use with Stampin' Up!'s coordinating Stampin' Write markers.  Plus, it would make a quick and easy card.

I used several of the new In Colors on this card;  Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple.  The lighter pink on the flowers is Pretty in Pink – I wanted some great contrast.  With the Stampin' Write markers having dual tips – one being 0.5mm, I could easily control where I wanted the darker color.  The DSP at the bottom is Primrose Petal colored DSP from the Floral District collection.  The strip of Raspberry Ripple stitched 3/8" taffeta ribbon on the bottom is the perfect accent.  Love it!

Blessings for a great day!

Loving this One!

on Jun 7th 2012

I think it's a combination of the texture and DSP that has me loving this combination.

The DSP is the new Floral District.  I also featured it a few days ago HERE.  Seriously, how can you not love this paper.  The colors are so fun and bright.  Check it out – don't you agree it's a have to have?

Then there's the texture – oh my. . . . you should see the awesome new embossing folders in the Stampin' Up! catalog!  This one is called Fancy Fan – and is spleniforious (I think I just made up that word!)

You'll also note this greeting.  It is cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits and the matching stamp set is Itty Bitty Banners.  You are sure to hear more about this combo in the future.

So, if you're not in love with this products – give me a call because I need to know why!   When I saw this card in the pile of swaps I received I immediately fell in love with it.  It was created by a fellow demonstrator Susan Campfield.

Have a great day!   Blessings!

Betsy’s Blooms

on Jun 2nd 2012

Here's one of my new favorite stamp sets – it's called Betsy's Blooms.  If you are coming to my open house today – you'll get to use this great stamp set!   In this sample card, I paired it with several other very cool new things;  Apothecary Accents Framelits, Floral District DSP,  new In Colors and 1/4" stitched ribbon.  I also used the Houndstooth embossing folder.

I love the new In Colors – and so several of my favs are featured in this fun and splashy Floral District DSP – this set of papers is a MUST have!

But, let's talk about he new ink pads – because they are sooooo perfecto!    They will change your stamping experience for the better!  Two exciting benefits are;

  • Provide better ink coverage for your stamps!
  • Light-tap stamping produces flawless images!

In addition the new Stampin' Pads

  • Create wonderfully solid images.  The firm foam releases more ink onto your rubber stamp than teh felt pads.  When using the firm foam pad, your stamp will get an even, solid covering of ink that you may not have been able to achieve with the felt pads.
  • Have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off!
  • Come with color name labels in all four languages – just choose your language, peel it off the back and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification
  • Use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist!
  • are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors!

You have to stamp with these babies to see how perfect they are!   I love em!

Blessings!
