Snow Flurries in July?
BJ on Jul 30th 2012
This weekend I played with products from our Holiday mini catalog. It is seriously the most FABULOUS catalog ever! I find something new in it everytime I open the 40 pages of bliss!

The catalog will be available online starting August 1. If you don't yet have one – email me and I will get one sent to you! This card uses one of my favorite products – the Snow Flurry Bigz Die. In addition you'll see a piece of DSP from Be of Good Cheer DSP. This DSP is available in the regular catalog.
I also spent the weekend getting ready for the Washington County Fair – I have some killer displays ready to go – make sure you stop by and check them out! I am in the same spot as usual in Building B. Several of my downline will be there for a shift or two – if you need my upcoming classes and workshops, just ask them and they will give you a sheet.
Make sure you check back everyday this week for something new – like I said, I had a busy weekend of crafting and it is a very exciting week with the Holiday Mini Catalog available on Wednesday!!! I am super excited about a promotion for new demonstrators in August – you are going to LOVE it! More info available on Wednesday!

Convention Highlights!
BJ on Jul 24th 2012
Check out this video and look at a snippet of the fun we had at convention. You'll see several of my downline and if you look closely, you'll find me! It could be a game – like Where's Waldo – let me know if you find me and what I'm wearing – you could get a surprise!
Convention was certainly awesome. I loved seeing my friends from around the country. It is one of the best parts. I also love the free stamps we get – check this out!

And that's just the stamp sets! Meanwhile I have Chicks, Chocolate & Cards Wednesday night – ohhh lala – you'll want to attend this one and be the first to see all of the samples I brought home! I am having trouble deciding which ones we will have for class!

This card may be one of them! It was made by Barb Stencel. I like the simple layout, color combination and the fun new Papillion Potpourri and Butterfly punch. I have 3 spots left!
Blessings!

Convention Updates
BJ on Jul 20th 2012
It's been an amazing convention – busy busy busy! Here's a couple of inspiring photos for you!
.jpg)
I love this look. Burlap has been "in" lately. Love the variety of flowers and materials on this wreath – looks fairly simple and I think making it is definately in my future!

Here is a cute ornament – you are going to see lots of this. . . have you been drooling over your holiday mini catalog yet? Don't forget, it is a different size this time – a full 8 1/2 x 11!
One of the things we can do at convention is take an extra class – there were several to choose from. This one was called Pattern Mixing Pro – Who is voting for a class on this cute thing?
.jpg)
So, we're off for another full day – maybe a bit of shopping later!
Blessings!

Summer Florals
BJ on Jul 11th 2012
Holy cuteness! I have been telling you that I love the Floral District DSP – but, there's also fabric! Yep – while I am not a great seamstress, I had to do something fun with this fabric! Check it out!!!

LOVE it! So stinkin' cute! Yes, it is going to convention with me (not that I'm counting but, we leave in 6 days!). Stampin' Up!"s fabric was super easy to work with. You get all 3 fabrics – they are extra wide fat quarters. The pattern was one that I bought at a big box store for 99 cents a couple of years ago – I modified it slightly as I don't do hand stitching! hehe. OK, I had to sew on the button and flower – but that's it!

Hmmm – just so cute! I can't wait to use this great bag! Oh, wait – what did I do with my scraps? Well, couldn't let them go to waste. Check out these projects. When I was done, I had one small rectangle left.

A paper snips holder using the dresden plate die.

A luggage tag for my suitcase – It will be unique and I'll know it's mine!

A cute notebook holder for me to take lots of notes at convention! Now, if I've peaked your interest, there are 2 things you should know. First – my hostess club last night LOVED the bag. They are requesting a class on how to make them. Second – if you are in my downline and going to convention – you may see these items on your bed one night!

Field Flowers
BJ on Jul 6th 2012
In my last post, I mentioned that I used the greeting from a set called Field Flowers. When I pulled the stamp set out, I thought about how I hadn't used that set much – and there was a sample in the catalog that inspired me to make this card. By the way, if you don't yet have your catalog, give me a call! I can get one sent to you straight away!

The color combo I used on this card is a bit unique – even for me; Daffodil Delight, Cameo Coral and Baja Breeze. Interesting – but, it certainly works. I want to call your attention to a couple of details on this card. First, I used the apothecary accents to accent my main focal point – notice how I wound it around the top and bottom of the card. I really like this effect. Check out this detailed picture to see how I used the Delicate Designs embossing folder.
.jpg)
This detail was made using 2 new products. First the Delicate Designs Folders – with the tone on tone paper – the detail is subtle but stunning. Also note that apothecary accent focal point is highlighted with paper piercing. There is a template that is your best buddy in creating this wonderful accent – check out the Essentials Paper-piercing Pack on p 181 in the catalog.

For only $7.95, you'll get all 3 of these! Don' worry about your paper piercing pad being small – there is a new larger size for only $4.95!
So, I am over at Pan-O-Prog in Lakeville today and tomorrow. I've got tons of inspiration to share with you, new catalogs and a bunch of retired products. Stop by and see me!
Blessings!
My Honey
BJ on Jul 4th 2012
A couple of weeks ago, Jim and I went to visit my dad for Father's Day. It was a great weekend – lots of driving but, still fun. On the way home my honey was gracious enough to let me spend a bit of time at one of my favorite craft stores in St. Cloud. He told me I could take my time but, of course I was respectful of him sitting in the car. And my bill was actually fairly modest (there's a first time for everything!). Hehe
One of the things I bought was this blank frame. I knew that I wanted to put a picture of my sweetie and I in it and have it for display an my upcoming events.

This picture is from Jim and I in Hawaii a couple of years ago (a Stampin' Up! incentive trip). If you recall, Jim had been really sick and in the hospital up until a couple of days before we left. The whole trip was in jeopardy. However, with God's help, we were able to go and over the course of our 8 day trip, Jim grew stronger and healthier every day. This picture was taken on our last night. He looks great! Since today is Independance Day and we think about heros, I wanted to post this today in honor of my hero – my best friend and husband.
OK, so the frame. I used the Floral District DSP. I love the many colors of this DSP – and in my opinion it is a must have. (you'll be even more thrilled when you see more of my upcoming projects!).
.png)
The flower accent on the frame was made using several layers of crumpled paper from the Blossom Punch. I added some Daffocil Delight scallop circles in the middle – along with a dahlia. What's the dahlia you say? Well – check these cute little babies out!

The saying is from the Field Flowers stamp set and is cut out using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

So, don't limit your paper crafting to cards and scrapbooking – this frame would make a great gift! and a very memorable one!
Hope you enjoyed this post – Blessings to you!
