Mosaic Madness

on May 20th 2013

IMG_3415

As a demonstrator, we can order some of the new things in advance – and get to playing.  One of the many advantages of being a demonstrator!    Here you are getting a sneak peak of a bundle – yes I said bundle available in the new catalog!   This bundle contains a stamp set and punch.   You may also not totally recognize the colors in this card as it features many of the new in colors!

The In Colors are;  Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantalope, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush.  The only one I didn't use is Baked Brown Sugar.  (Don't you love the names!).

Mosaic Madness is a stamp set that features 11 coordinating designs.   Take a close look at this pattern – then when you are shopping or looking at magazines – you will spot lots of patterns like this!   I was really surprised at how much I saw when I started looking!   I love that there is a punch to coordinate with the stamp set!

I also spent some time getting more things ready for my "Out with the Old and in with the New"  Open House on June 1.  Retired items are being priced.  Accessories bagged and ready to be priced.  You are going to want to make sure and plan this day into your schedule!

Blessings!

Label Love

on May 16th 2013

IMG_3408

So, I'm Back – finally!   Due to computer and website issues, I have been WAY out of touch.  My sincere apologies!

Well, Jim and I have now been to Fiji and back on the Stampin' Up! Incentive trip – and when I got home, there was a huge box of NEW Stampin' Up! product waiting for me.   Yippeeee!    Of course it was one of the first things unpacked – and finally last weekend, I got a chance to play.  This card features a bunch of newbies!

  • Label Love stamp set p 33
  • Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape
  • Artisan Label punch
  • Gingham Garden DSP

I was new to Washi tape – but certainly find I like (ok love) and am thinking of many uses!   I have a super cute "pin" you'll love to see coming in the near future to this very blog!

This card actually features only 2 of the 3 patterns you receive in the package.  Hint:  you'll like the other one too if you like the base of this card!

So, thanks for hanging in there with me.  Love you all!

Blessings!

It’s a hoppin’ time!

on Mar 19th 2013

It's hoppin' around the Peters house for several reasons. .. first I extended my open house to add on tonight as old man winter isn't letting go of us.  Second – it's the last week of Sale-a-Bration and I am busy helping customers get their last minute stocking up done while they get their sale-a-bration benefits and Lastly – It's Chicks, Chocolate and Cards this Thursday!  Whew!  I do like being busy.  And to add to that, I am still computerless – ugh!

Hopefully this little guy can hop onto your Easter dinner table!   Isn't he so stinkin cute?   He is made with the oval framelits and the More Amore' DSP.   Both of these items are in the spring mini catalog – I am going to be so sad when that catalog is done.

I will try and keep you updated as best as I can during my computer issues – there are a bunch of things just waiting for me to tell you about – very exciting things!!!!   So, hang in there with me.

The open house is tonight 5-8pm.  If you want to get your last minute order in and want the specials I am giving out at the open house, you can call or order online.  The hostess code is;  WJAAE27G

Polka Dot Dress

on Mar 4th 2013

Here's another version of the Dressed Up framelits.   Truly these framelits are soooo much fun to work with!   And the flower trim goes so well with it!   I think this is the perfect birthday card for me – I tend to be a little late with them!

You can see that I used the oval framelits on this card as well – and used the paper piercing pack to give it a little extra detail.  Along with an embossed border.  Only 2 weeks left of Sale-a-Bration!

Enjoy your day!

Have you Sale-a-Brated enough yet?    This is one of the items available from the free Sale-a-Bration choices.  This Simply Sent kit was really a lot of fun to play with.  I was surprised at what I could all do with it.  The color combo is pretty super.  There are only 2 things that I added to this card. . . the gray card base and the yellow ribbon.  So simply and easy!

This would be perfect to have around for the quick card you need. . . OR it would be a perfect gift for a friend!  Something they will use – crafty or not.  Because the kit is so easy, experience isn't required to make a great card!

Rain or Shine

on Feb 26th 2013

So, this weekend, I played a bit with the stamp set Rain or Shine from the spring catalog.  I was inspired by a card I saw somewhere (if it yours – let me know and I will give you credit).  I loved this color combination.  Basic Gray and Melon Mambo.  Turned out so cute!

Here is what I used on this card;

Stamp Set:  Rain or Shine from Spring Catalog

Cardstock & Ink:  Melon Mambo, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Neutrals Prints Pack

Sizzix:  Tasteful Trim Die

Accessories:  Silver Buttons from Spring Mini Catalog, Paper Piercing pack, 2 1/2" circle punch

I love a card like this that I can use for so many different purposes!  This stamp set is actually very fun to work with.  Make sure you check back over the next few days to discover more inspiration – including a never before seen layout!

Simply Scored Borders Template

on Feb 23rd 2013

Did you notice this cool tool in the spring catalog?  With many of the card designs these days being a little more simple, I will tell you that this is the perfect tool to have to add just a little bit of interest to a card – or scrapbook page for that matter.  Once you have this tool – it's yours forever – and doesn't have any additional costs!

Here's a card we did this week at Chicks Chocolate & Cards.  It was inspired by my Friend Dena Rekow.  You may have noticed that I used this border tool as well on the quilt cards that I have posted recently.

Wouldn't you agree that it adds just a nice light touch?  Now imagine how you can use it!  Don't forget that you can add interest to your envelopes too!  Here's a video from Stampin' Up! that shows you some of the key features.

Blessings!
