Valentine Inspirations #3

Posted by BJ on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Bling – is a girls best friend and this card has it!  You need to get your hand on the Love you Much Designer series paper – it has built in bling!   The top part of the card (stripped portion) is the bridemaid specialty paper – yum yum!  New satin ribbon, heart embosslet and whimsical words finish this card off well!

As the title suggests, this is installment #3. . . remember to check back every day this week for a new idea.   On Friday, you'll want to vote for your favorite.

Happy Stamping!

Valentine Inspiration #2

Posted by BJ on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

As you know I love texture!   This new polka dot embossing folder helps create that for me!  I received this in a swap at Stampin' Up!'s leadership conference. . . unfortunately there is no name on it for the creative author!

The stamp set is the I Heart Hearts stamp set.  Please check out this stamp set in the Occasions Mini catalog as if you purchase it by Feb 28, $2 will go to relief efforts in Haiti.

You'll also notice the very cute little epoxy brad – these are delicious!  ohhh lala – not quite as good as bling for girls – but gettin' close!

Remember to check back every day this week for more inspriation!  On Friday, vote for your favorite card and you'll be entered into a drawing.

Valentine Card Ideas – Day 1

Posted by BJ on Monday, February 1st, 2010

Today, I am kicking off 5 days of card ideas that are themed for the Valentine season.  What better way to tell someone you love them than to give them a handmade card!

This card uses 3 of my favorite new products;  scallop edge punch (FREE with a $50 order!), Love You Much Designer series paper (it's embedded with BLING!!)  and the scallop heart embosslet (I love it!!!).  Well, the other thing you'll need to check out is the satin ribbon – oh so smooth and shiny!

This week you can come to one of my club nights Tuesday or Wednesday.  Free with $25 order or just $5.  Check back daily and on Friday, I will ask you to vote for your favorite!

Update on Jim – those of you who follow me on facebook know that Jim is back in the hospital with ongoing stomach problems.  On Friday afternoon, he suffered a mild stroke.  He has improved through the weekend and has regained the use and most of the strength on his right side.  Follow me on facebook for updates (stampinbj).

Happy stamping!

Big Shot + Fabric = Awesome!

Posted by BJ on Monday, January 25th, 2010

Check out these fantastic ideas!  I have used my Big Shot and a little fabric – and don't you just love the results!  Quilters – you are missing out ona fantastic machine if you don't have one!

The pennant was my first project.  I used the pennant die along with the scallop circle and sans serif alphabet.  This is all machine stitched – and went together in just a couple of hours!  Check out the scallops stitched on the ribbon at the top of the pennant – these are on the pennant die.  This pennant will also serve double duty as the back side says "spring". . . . .you'll see that side later!

Well, I didn't stop with the pennant.  I LOVE the scallop square die!   This table runner was made in just a snippet of time of a standard quilt project!  i hope you'll stop by and check out this very cool idea!    Besides – it's much cuter in person!

And every girls needs another purse – right?  Don't you love this one?  I do!  And not just for the hearts or because I made it. . . . it's just stinkin' cute!  Another simple and easy project to put together!   Crafting made easy with the Big Shot!   Did I tell you that the best time to buy your BIg Shot is right now during Sale-a-Bration?  With your purchase, you'll receive a free SAB product of your choice and when you add at least one die to your order – you'll get 2!
