It has been so nice in Minnesota! Grass is getting green. Trees are budding. Perennials are breaking through. Pretty soon, we'll see butterflies. . . but, they were also out in my studio this week.

I love how this card turned out. I saw a similar layout somewhere and added a few touches. Here's what I used;
Cardstock & Ink; Concord Crush, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, First Edition DSP
Stamp Sets; Fresh Vintage, Blessings from Heaven
Punches: 2 1/2" circle and scallop edge
Sizzix Die; Beautiful Butterflies, Beautiful Wings
In the spirit of using all parts, check out what the inside of the card looks like:

Cute!!
Keep in mind a very important thing. Concord Crush is a 2010-2012 In Color. So that means in May you will have your last chance to stock up on this color and the other 2010-2012 In Colors. Stock up. Don't forget your re-inkers!!!
Blessings!

I played around with the Cherry scented embossing powder in the Occasions Mini catalog – not only does this card look great but it tickles the olfactory senses as well! Nummmy!
I used a layout that I saw somewhere (if it's your's, let me know and I'd be happy to give you credit). Here's what I used;
Stamp Sets: Mouthwatering, Sweet Cake (greeting), Fresh Vintage (background)
Cardstock & Ink; Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Attic Boutique (patterned DSP), Versamark
Punches; 2 1/2" circle, 1 3/4" circle, 1"circle, square punch (used to make perfect flag on end of greeting)
Accessories; White gel pen, Cherry embossing powder
If you haven't yet looked at the scented embossing powers, you have a choice of vanilla, melon and cherry. They are in the Occasions Mini catalog so they will be here through April 30. They are clear embossing powders. So, how did I have them show up in Cherry Cobbler you ask? Well – simple. Stamp as you normally would. In the case of these cherries, I stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. When I was done with that, I covered the cherries with versamark ink and then applied the scented embossing powder.
Make sure you get your scent on!
Blessings!

I had a bit of time to play today while getting ready for April classes. While I can't reveal the total package for April – I can tell you that I am liking the Designer Series Paper! Check out these cool colors! I LOVE the brightness of them – of course I'm in a bit of a summer mood today with 70 degrees and a little humidty in Minnesota!
Make sure you stay tuned for more sneak peaks and of course terrific classes you won't want to miss! But, don't forget, Sale-a-Bration – THE biggest sale of the year is still on – Don't forget about my open house next Sunday 2-5pm. It may be your last chance to Sale-a-Brate! RSVP for an extra gift waiting for you at my door!
Blessings!

I love it when you get more than you bargained for! Here's a great example. . . . this Triple Treat Flower is so perfect when used with our punches – it's just a WOW!

Check it out! Oh, and did you realize that you can get this stamp for free during Sale-a-Bration?

The 3 punches (aka Triple Treat) are; Fancy Flower, 1/2" circle, 5 Petal Flower
I used the Twitterpated paper – Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze are one of my favorite color combinations – and for those of you who know me well know that red is my very least favorite color of all time! We made this card at my Chicks, Chocolate & Card night – sorry you missed it!
Blessings!

Needing a quick little treat to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Here's a quick and easy one! Here's what I used;
- small cellophane bag filled with the gold "nuggets"
- Labels framelit cut in Wild Wasabi – folded in half for the topper base
- Brushed Gold cardstock for the gold banner
- Small scallop circle punch in black
- 1 3/8" circle from First Edition DSP
- St. Patrick's Day sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamped on Certainly Celery prints paper. Punched with Modern Label punch
- Shamrock is made from Fashionable Hearts Embosslit
- Rhinestone Brad colored with yellow sharpie marker
- Shamrock stem is made using the wide oval punch
Wondering how the shamrock is made using a heart embosslit? Check out the St. Patrick's Day banner from Monday's post – there's a close up there that will give you what you need.
So, where are your gold nuggets in your life? I myself am very grateful for the many blessings I have. I hope you have a very blessed day today!

I've had fun playing with the Blossom Builders from the Occasions Mini catalog. I was surprised by how many really cool things you get with this kit. Plus I see the versatility for all kinds of crafters – scrapbookers and card makers alike! Check them out on page 18 of the mini catalog;

At $9.95 – its a very cool deal! Here's the best features;
- double sided
- prints on textured paper
- die -cut
- easy to mix, match and layer
- pink rhinestones – 30 each in 2 sizes 7mm and 2mm
- Fun colors!
Here's a fun card we made at class last week and some of my events this month.

Check out the cool technique of punching the Blossom punch from the top layer and letting the underlayer show through. Do you see how much fun they are to mix and match?
So, check out these great accents before the mini catalog goes away at the end of April!
Blessings!

I don't know about you but, I could always use a little luck. So, with St. Patrick's Day coming up, I had to get this sweet little decoration out of my creative brain.

There are several items from the mini catalog here. First I want to call your attention to the base of the banner. It uses the Dresden Designs Die (p 12). Quilteres or sewers should take special note of this die because it's a real time saver! I've made a doily from this design and wanted another way to use it. Check it out!

I used Wild Wasabi and First Edition papers for the background. Here's a close up of one of the shamrocks;

Isn't it cool? I used the Fashionable Hearts embosslit also from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The circle is a 1 3/4" punch and the stem is made by using the wide oval punch. But, back to the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit. I love this little guy – 5 hearts, 5 different patterns and so many uses! Hurry, since it's in the mini catalog, I can only guarantee that it is available until April 30!

So, if you are needing a little luck – this was a quick and easy decoration to make. What I like most about it is that I used several products that you normally wouldn't think of to use in such a project. Dresden Designs and Fashionable Hearts are certainly not typically associated with St. Patrick's Day in the Peters household!
Have a great day!
Blessings!

I've had a lot of questions lately about digital designing. What you may not believe, especially for those of you who know that I love texture, is that I am really loving Stampin' Up!'s Digital Designing program. Here is why I like it;
- It's easy – learned how to use it myself

- It's portable and quick to finish a project
- No big mess on my crafting table
- I get my projects done quickly!
- I can create so many different things! Slideshow, scrapbook, letter, postcard, calendar, etc
Here is a page from the calendar I made for 2012

These pictures were from a weekend with two of the grandkids. We took them up to my dad's house and had a great time at the lake. We even had "noodle" wars. If you are interested in trying a free 30 day trial of the express program – simply log hit the "order now" button and put in the order number 129600.
And that's not all – check out mydigitalstudio.net – it's a plethora of info on digital designing – and free to anyone! Plus there is fresh new content released every Tuesday!
Give it a try – let me know if you have any questions!
Blessings!
