Santa’s on the bag!
BJ on Nov 15th 2012
Here's another one of the items I have made recently that will be part of my upcoming craft shows.

Yes, Santa is coming. . . and your gifts will look even better in this bag! As you may have guessed, I used the Top Note die to make this cool dude. He is actually pretty quick and easy.

I know it is hard to see things close up but, I used our wonderful (and cheap) spritzers and blinged him up just a big with your champagne shimmer paint. It is a super duper finished look! Also note the Gumball Green sweater trim bow on the handle – it is really the perfect finishing touch. The sweater trim is in the Holiday Mini Catalog – and is only available until Jan 2. You will want some of this in all 3 colors!
Stay tuned to the Black Friday sale from Stampin' Up! – rumor has it there is a BIG (shot) thing perhaps on the sale block! Gift yourself just in time to make things like this and other Christmas gifts in a flash! It's like the gift that keeps on giving!
Blessings!
a little Christmas Cheer
BJ on Nov 7th 2012

Here's a little Christmas Cheer I shared last night at Hostess Club (come tonight if you'd like!). I'm sure you are just like me and have so many friends, neighbors and co-workers that you would like to give just a little something too. But, I don't want to break the bank. So, this is one of my ideas for this year. Using the Scentsational Season Bundle from the Holiday Mini Catalog, these can go together in a flash. Did you know if you buy the stamp set and framelits together in a bundle you are getting them at a discount (aka – they're on sale!) 15%!

Having the framelits and matching stamp set is the bomb! I love it. I have seen tons of cute ideas using Scentsational Season – stay tuned for more on my blog!
Here's the inside of the pocket card;

Yep, my friends will be enjoying a nice cup of "Christmas Cheer" on me this year!
Blessings!
I’m Super Excited
BJ on Nov 6th 2012
To share the projects at Hostess Club tonight and tomorrow. Club members, here's a sneak peak of one of the projects.

The card is simple but showcases so many fun products! Here's a list of what you're going to use;
- stamp set; Snowflake Soiree, Single stamp – Bold Snowflake
- Cardstock & Ink; Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Baja Breeze, In Color DSP, Illuminate Glimmer watermark pad
- Big Shot; Delicate Designs Folders (p 188)
- Punches: Blossom Punch
- Accessories: Vintage Faceted Buttons, Frost White Shimmer paint
Hmmmm – did you see the Single Stamp? Did you know that Stampin' Up! is trialling selling some single stamps until Jan 2? The info is only available from your Stampin' Up! Demo. The Bold Snowflake is designed to coordinate with the Blossom Punch (I know a lot of you have that punch!). The stamp is only $5.95! I could see this on tags, envelopes and so many things! And of course since it coordinates with a punch, even better!
Oh, and did you see I used the Illuminate Glimmer watermark pad (p 23 of Holiday Mini). Here is a close up;

The little snowflakes just glimmer! Check out the big snowflake too! How'd I do that? I mixed the Midnight Muse reinker with a small dot of frost white shimmer paint and dabbed it on the stamp with a sponge dauber!
And here is a pic of the inside of the card – I used the blossom punch to not only punch out the snowflake but, also punch that image in the outside of the card so that the snowflake is actually adhered to the inside of the card! I also used the Stampin' Dazzle marker in silver to highlight the snowflake! You'll find that on page 19 of the Mini Catalog. Love this marker for its smoothness and ability to write on the inside of darker colored cardstock cards.

Enjoy! Blessings!
It’s been awhile
BJ on Nov 2nd 2012
and I am so sorry. Lots has happened in the last month – been just a wee bit crazy! The happy news from the last month is that my daughter got engaged! We are so happy for her. Her fiance's name is Joe and they are looking at getting married next October.

I hesitate to show you a closer picture of her ring because it is soo gorgeous. I still think a daughter shouldn't have a ring bigger than her mothers! hehe
Ahh yes, back to the business – I actually have been crafting away, just not posting. Lots of craft shows and classes coming up so, stand by for a few goodies!

Here's a gift bag made with the Top Note snowman. This guy is full of texture on his hat and in the background. I love the silver glimmer paper snowflake on his hat cut from the snow flurries die. The perfect finishing texture touch is the sweater trim bow. You have to get that from the mini catalog – so don't wait too long to snatch that up. It comes in Cherry Cobbler and Gumball green too!
There's other big news today as well – First the PAPER TRIMMER is here! OMG. I'm so excited. I got mine and love it!

Features (to die for!)
- extra-wide cutting base and an extended 14 1/2" ruler.
- A full 12 inch cutting and scorring track – no need to change your blade!!!
- Specially designed handles and cutting track to ensure straight cuts
- storage compartment under base (bone folder, simply scored scoring stylus, etc)
Remember how frustrating it was to tray and cut regular-sized cards on the old paper trimmer? With the new trimmer, the base is wider! So many features of this tool make it the best on the market!
Stop by and see it at hostess club next week or I will be at the Cottage Grove Armory this Saturday from 9-3pm.
Blessings!
Another Holiday Ornament
BJ on Sep 18th 2012
Here is the last ornament we created this weekend in my "ornamental" class.

I love the color (Midnight Muse) and the more "vintage" look to it. Here's a close up;

You can see the antique brads centered on 2 snowflakes from the Snow Flurry die really highlight the center of this ornament. I used the Silver Glimmer paper and the Brushed silver paper. Everything was centered on a 2 3/8" scallop circle. The finishing touch was shimmer paint spritzed on with one of our new spritzer bottles. Love it!
If you missed the class and are interested in the basic directions and a class in the mail kit, please let me know.

“Ornamental Class”
BJ on Sep 7th 2012
I am very excited for this class – and apparently so are you! The class is FULL. But, I have added another section on Sunday, September 16 at 5pm. Registration is now open for that section. Here is a sneak peak of another 1 of the 4 ornaments you will be making!

This one was fun and simple. I am sad because you can't see the glitz very well in the ball.
But, trust me that it is even cuter in person! The paper I used was from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack from the Holiday Mini Catalog. You will get this paper with your class fee! ($22). You get 48 sheets 4 each of 12 double sided designs for only $6.95! I love the size of 4 1/2 x 6 1/2" That size means I can use it for lots of things!
Here's a close up of the ornament;

Love it! These will be very fun to do for the holiday!
If you are out and about this weekend, come see me at Jesse James Days. Mention that you saw this post and I will have a bunch of coupons for you!.
Blessings!
Pumpkin Candy Holder
BJ on Sep 5th 2012

This cute little guy came to me one night. . . (I know it is scary the way my mind thinks sometimes). Actually, what came to mind was a snowman – and then I tweaked it for the fall season. I love this guy! He is sooo easy to make too!
I showed off the fall treats last night at my Hostess Club and there was a suggestion made for a fall "treat" class. . . If you have thoughts that you would like such a class with some of the treats I have been showing (there's more to come), let me know. I would suggest October 7 for the class.
Anyway, here is what I used to make this guy;
Stamps: Mixed Medley
Cardstock & Ink; Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Basic Black, Wild Wasabi
Punches: 2 1/2" circle Punch, 3/4" circle punch, oval punch, small oval punch, Labels Punch pack, Boho Blossoms
Accessories; Dotted Scallop Ribbon, Wild Wasabi Stitched Ribbon, Buttons, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, dimensionals, sticky strip, glue dots, Simply Scored
His belly is filled with a couple of small Hershey bars. This is a quick and easy treat for co-workers, teachers, neighbors or that favorite scary goblin that comes to your door!
Enjoy – and let me know if you are interested in a "Trick or Treat (mostly treat) class"
Blessings!
