Birthday Gift reveal
BJ on Apr 12th 2012

My sister Sally's birthday is coming up soon and last night, one of my downline gave me this idea. She had done a class with these blocks inspired by a picture in our demonstrator magazine – Stampin' Success. Those blocks said "mom". You could do – "home", "love", "dad" and a myraid of other things! You'll find the Decor blocks on page 181 in the catalog. At only $9.95 – they have so many possibilities!
I used the Twitterpated DSP as my base and let the beauty of the paper choose the colors from there. With the Mixed Bunch stamp set and a few accessories, I think I have something my sister will love. I'm pretty sure she doesn't check my blog very often, so I think I'm safe. I think I'm going to add just a couple of more details. Check back tomorrow for some detail pics!
Blessings!

A Special Birthday Card
BJ on Mar 27th 2012

Several weeks ago, I met several of my downline for a fun lunch. We had been planning this lunch since last fall and a few things just kept getting in the way. The lunch was supposed to be a birthday lunch for me. We had a great time chatting and planning and laughing. Then they pulled out this birthday card – isn't it cute? Simple and fun. My downline Tatiana Keene made this card. I loved how she used the framelits and the Mixed Bunch stamp set. The little touch of seam binding ribbon and Bakers twine at the bottom just adds that extra little pizzaz. Thanks Ladies!
I just want to remind you that there are only a couple of days left in Sale-a-Bration. One of my very good customers reminded me of that last night when she called to get her final 2 freebies from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. Don't miss out! Make sure you get your orders in by Saturday afternoon (I'm taking the grandsons to the Osmund Shrine Circus Saturday night).
Blessings on your day!
Vintage Inspirations
BJ on Mar 23rd 2012

This incredibly simple card uses a few of my favorite products.
First – the Edgelit Die and coordinating Textured Impressions Embossing Folders from the Occasions Mini Catalog. Love these adorning accents!

The first picture cuts your cardstock and the second picture depicts the coordinating embossing folders. Love them!
Next, I used some of my favorite DSP – Mocha Morning. This is a specialty DSP – so it has flocking! I like the colors and am drawn to it especially when I want to make more masculine cards. Look at how rich it is!

And finally the stamp set is certainly of a vintage flavor. It is from the Occasions Mini Catalog. Rue Des Fleurs.

TGIF everyone! Make it an awesome day! Blessings.
MMMMMM – Cherries!
BJ on Mar 20th 2012

I played around with the Cherry scented embossing powder in the Occasions Mini catalog – not only does this card look great but it tickles the olfactory senses as well! Nummmy!
I used a layout that I saw somewhere (if it's your's, let me know and I'd be happy to give you credit). Here's what I used;
Stamp Sets: Mouthwatering, Sweet Cake (greeting), Fresh Vintage (background)
Cardstock & Ink; Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Attic Boutique (patterned DSP), Versamark
Punches; 2 1/2" circle, 1 3/4" circle, 1"circle, square punch (used to make perfect flag on end of greeting)
Accessories; White gel pen, Cherry embossing powder
If you haven't yet looked at the scented embossing powers, you have a choice of vanilla, melon and cherry. They are in the Occasions Mini catalog so they will be here through April 30. They are clear embossing powders. So, how did I have them show up in Cherry Cobbler you ask? Well – simple. Stamp as you normally would. In the case of these cherries, I stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. When I was done with that, I covered the cherries with versamark ink and then applied the scented embossing powder.
Make sure you get your scent on!
Blessings!
Gold Nuggets for St. Patrick’s Day
BJ on Mar 14th 2012

Needing a quick little treat to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Here's a quick and easy one! Here's what I used;
- small cellophane bag filled with the gold "nuggets"
- Labels framelit cut in Wild Wasabi – folded in half for the topper base
- Brushed Gold cardstock for the gold banner
- Small scallop circle punch in black
- 1 3/8" circle from First Edition DSP
- St. Patrick's Day sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamped on Certainly Celery prints paper. Punched with Modern Label punch
- Shamrock is made from Fashionable Hearts Embosslit
- Rhinestone Brad colored with yellow sharpie marker
- Shamrock stem is made using the wide oval punch
Wondering how the shamrock is made using a heart embosslit? Check out the St. Patrick's Day banner from Monday's post – there's a close up there that will give you what you need.
So, where are your gold nuggets in your life? I myself am very grateful for the many blessings I have. I hope you have a very blessed day today!
Blossom Builders
BJ on Mar 13th 2012
I've had fun playing with the Blossom Builders from the Occasions Mini catalog. I was surprised by how many really cool things you get with this kit. Plus I see the versatility for all kinds of crafters – scrapbookers and card makers alike! Check them out on page 18 of the mini catalog;

At $9.95 – its a very cool deal! Here's the best features;
- double sided
- prints on textured paper
- die -cut
- easy to mix, match and layer
- pink rhinestones – 30 each in 2 sizes 7mm and 2mm
- Fun colors!
Here's a fun card we made at class last week and some of my events this month.

Check out the cool technique of punching the Blossom punch from the top layer and letting the underlayer show through. Do you see how much fun they are to mix and match?
So, check out these great accents before the mini catalog goes away at the end of April!
Blessings!
Luck of the Irish
BJ on Mar 12th 2012
I don't know about you but, I could always use a little luck. So, with St. Patrick's Day coming up, I had to get this sweet little decoration out of my creative brain.

There are several items from the mini catalog here. First I want to call your attention to the base of the banner. It uses the Dresden Designs Die (p 12). Quilteres or sewers should take special note of this die because it's a real time saver! I've made a doily from this design and wanted another way to use it. Check it out!

I used Wild Wasabi and First Edition papers for the background. Here's a close up of one of the shamrocks;

Isn't it cool? I used the Fashionable Hearts embosslit also from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The circle is a 1 3/4" punch and the stem is made by using the wide oval punch. But, back to the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit. I love this little guy – 5 hearts, 5 different patterns and so many uses! Hurry, since it's in the mini catalog, I can only guarantee that it is available until April 30!

So, if you are needing a little luck – this was a quick and easy decoration to make. What I like most about it is that I used several products that you normally wouldn't think of to use in such a project. Dresden Designs and Fashionable Hearts are certainly not typically associated with St. Patrick's Day in the Peters household!
Have a great day!
Blessings!
