Holiday Gift Giving – especially for kids
BJ on Oct 20th 2009

This is a great project – especially for kids. This tree ornament opens up to reveal a picture inside! What a prefect gift for grandparents, aunts and uncles. This project uses the scallop square die as the foundation. This is another project you will make at my Holiday Gift Giving class on Sunday, Oct 25. RSVP!
Turkey Treat
BJ on Oct 19th 2009

Gobble – Gobble – will be what your guests want to do when you have these cute little place holders sitting on your Thanksgiving table! I saw this cute treat idea at Cherie Manderscheids Demos Galore event (Thanks Cherie!) Using the sweet treat cups and scallops #2 die and a few other punches – these are easy to make and will be the talk of the table! Give me a call if you want more details.
Pumpkin Box – another twist
BJ on Oct 18th 2009

Here’s another fun Pumpkin Box – I saw the idea (sorry don’t remember where) and just had to make one. . . . are you ready to hear which die I used? The pillow box! Yes, we’ve made some fun things with this die. You use 3 of them to make this box! Sorry you missed my Big Shot Night this week – or you could already have one of these at home! The eyes are 2 circle punches. . . . the nose is a free hand triangle. The mouth – a punch of course! It is 3 of the photo corner punches put together!
Merry Banner
BJ on Oct 17th 2009

Here’s a quick and easy banner for the upcoming holiday season. It uses the Two Tags Die which you will need this holiday season for those gift tags. I also used the Simple Letters Alphabet and the Sweet Season stamp set (p 29). These items go so well together. What you can’t see so well is the shimmer paint touch I added – if you haven’t yet ordered some of this – you really need to get it! There are so many ways to use it! Join me for my Holiday Stamp Camp on Sunday October 25. This is a brand new add to my calendar – register early! Here is how this event will go;
- 1-3pm 12 Holiday Cards – Cost $20. Receive $10 off your class fee with a $50 order (perfect for ordering supplies for your holiday cards!)
- 3:30pm-5:30pm Holiday Gift Giving ideas – Cost is $20. Receive $10 off your class fee with a $50 order
- 5 projects which will include; Merry banner, Journal, Gift card holder and more!

More about the 2 Tags Die – you get 2 different tags on this die – you can see them both here. One is designed that you could fold in half – I think this tag would look great with a chocolate or candy cane inside!
Looking forward to seeing you at class!
Witchin’ Time!

The witch uses the Bag in Scallops die, 1 3/4" circle die (face), 2 5/16" neutral brads embossed in green galore, word window punch (nose), scallop circle die (skirt), texturz plate on skirt, ribbon slide from hodgepodge hardware for belt, oval punches for arms, boho blossoms for hands, wide oval for broom wrapped around a twig, and a strip of DSP for the hat! Ain’t she cute!!!!!
So, the playing didn’t stop there. . . . . we went from a witch to angelic. Check out this angel! We used some of the same dies, punches and embellishments! She is shining in shimmery paint and embossed polka dots!
Then, I thought I could improve the reindeer with our new sweet treat cups. . . . and yup! Cinnamon candies worked great in the cup for Rudolph’s nose!
So, what do you think! Did we do it or what?
Treat Box
BJ on Aug 26th 2009
In case you missed it, here is the "thanks for coming" gift from my Open House last weekend. Aren’t they cute? I used the Bag with Scallops die and just did the front and back (sides come with the box but, I didn’t use them). Of course the color is Rich Razzleberry which is one of my favorite new colors!
I punched the window out with a 1 3/8" punch and put a window sheet behind stamped with a sentiment from Matchbox Messages in white staz on. The finishing touches were added with a white gel pen - I’m sure you’ve heard me say our gel pens are awesome! Make sure that you put one on your next order.
Ah yes, the great ribbon! I have lengths of the ribbon available – if you haven’t yet purchased yours, make sure you call. Rich Razzleberry has been the "hottest" and I just got some in! I know it will be gone quickly.
Using Rich Razzelberry

What a weekend! Hastings Rivertown Days was lots of fun seeing everyone. While Saturday, my booth was a little on the "dusty/dirty" side, I had a gorgeous spot right on the river for Sunday. It was great to meet lots of my customers and to welcome bunches of new ones!
The other "event" this weekend was my daughter, Chrissy’s birthday. My baby turned 24! We celebrated on Friday night. . . and then she went camping with friends over the weekend.
There is so much going on, here’s what you can expect from me this week;
- Stampin’ Up! Deal of the week posted by noon today (Monday)
- BJ’s Big Shot Deal is coming this week! – stay tuned!
- New classes being added as a result of numerous requests! What for the composition purse class as well as a Frame class
- well, I have a couple of other "surprise" postings coming too – so, be sure and check back frequently!
This card I made last week is one from a fellow demonstrator. Stampin’ Up! gives us great new ideas on a daily basis and I get to pick the ones I like and want to use! With the starter kit special going on now, make sure you check out the Stampin’ Up! business opportunity!
Card contents: Rich Razzleberry – new In color this year, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive and Whisper White. The frame is a sizzix die – called Frame Oval Scallop. The stamp sets used are; Flight of the Butterfly and Itty Bitty Backgrounds (an all time favorite!). You will see this card at my hostess shows this month!
New Sizzix Dies
BJ on Jul 13th 2009

OK, aren’t we all lovin’ the BIG SHOT? Here are two of the new dies; Flower Folds and Elegant Bouquet. Both are exclusive to Stampin’ Up!
Flower Folds - this die has 4 flowers with folds in them so that you get a 3 dimensional look to your projects. I can’t wait to use this one on a scrapbook page (hmmmm, that would be a great first set of pages for the scrapbook club!). On this card, I have used the 3 smaller flowers. Of course you are seeing a blend of the In Colors (Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo).
Elegant Bouquet Embossing folder - there are TWO new embossing folders! We loved (and still do) the Manhattan Flower die – and now we have two more! Yippeee! On this card, I used the Stampin’ Pastels and highlighted the embossed image. Note our new punch with the greeting. Stay tuned for more with this punch!
Reminders:
- New Sale of the week announced on Monday
- Clubs now forming for fall (scrapbook, Regular and Technique/Punch)
- Ribbon Share
- Designer Series paper share
- Stamp a Stack on Tuesday, July 14!
Simply Gorgeous!
BJ on May 28th 2009

This card looks sooo much better in person – I am hoping that you can enjoy it – at least a little by the picture. I can’t wait for the roses in my garden to look like this! I love the Manhattan Flower embossing folder exclusively from Stampin’ Up! Here I impressed it on shimmery white cardstock. After that, I ran my craft white stamp pad over the top and then embossed the raised edges with white embossing powder. Then you’ll do the unthinkable. . . spray the cardstock until it is absolutely wet. You want puddles. Then drop bits of your reinkers on your image and spread it out! You can create a ton of different looks with adding color variations, cutting out parts of the image, etc. Give it a try! If you don’t have the embossing folder yet, make sure you get one soon. I can’t imagine it will be retired but, coming June 1 is the "last chance" time for the current Stampin’ Up! catalog!
