It’s Official – I’m in LOVE!

on Feb 7th 2011

But you'll have to guess if it's this card or someone else?

So, now what do you think?  Petal Cone Die or ?    The answer is BOTH!!!!   I did some playing with the Petal Cone Die this weekend in preparation for the Regional Stampin' Up! Seminar in Minneapolis this weekend.  This is one of the samples I did – which is my Valentine's card for my honey.  As you all know, Jim is my best man – and is very supportive of my Stampin' Up! business – but, I am fairly sure he doesn't visit my blog on a daily basis.  So, here's to hoping the secret is safe!

Back to the card!  Just in case you are laughing because I have posted so many samples using the Petal Cone die, I am laughing with you.  When I got done making projects this weekend, I surveyed them and realized that I had made no samples of the way the die was probably intended to be used!  Here are the card ingredients;

  • Paper:  Real Red, Basic Grey, Whisper White, Red Glimmer Paper (121790), Love Impressions DSP (121780)  The last 2 items are from the Occasions Mini Catalog.
  • Sizzix Dies:  Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit (117332 p 215), Petal Cone Die (121810), Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder(117335)
  • Stamp Set:  With All My Heart  (p 47)
  • Punches:  Heart Small (117193 p 202), Scallop Edge Border (119882)

If you look at the Petal Cone Die, I am confident that you will be able to figure out how to make this card.  Enjoy!

Now, I have to brag just a bit about Jim.  He really is such a sweet heart.  He really enjoys greeting all of our guests – most often from his favorite chair.  He never fails to ask me at the beginning of the week which night the girls will be over this week.  So, not only does he love me – he loves seeing all of you too!

Blessings!

Valentine #4

on Feb 4th 2010

Here is version #4 – and a very important one!   This one uses the I Heart Hearts stamp set – and you can make a difference for Haiti by purchasing this stamp set as $2 from each stamp set will go to disaster relief.  Stampin' Up! has raised over $13,000 so far! Help Stampin' Up! double that figure by Feb 28.

This card was one of the projects at my club this month.  It uses several punches;  Full Heart, Heart to Heart, Heart border and wide oval.  This stamp set is so cool because the full heart and the heart to heart punch match up to the stamps in this set!  You'll also notice that I used a piece of the Sending Love DSP (a fav!) and the dot to dot embossing folder (another fav!)  This card was inspired by Meg Loven.

Remember to vote for your favorite on Friday – only 1 day away!
