Painted Petals

As soon as I saw this stamp set, and a sample on the same page in the brand spanking new Occasions catalog, I knew I had to have this stamp set and make this frame!   Well, my box of goodies arrived on Thursday. . . it got unpacked and stamp sets put together – and Friday afternoon, this rolled off my craft table.  I LOVE it!

Painted Petals 1This is a photpolymer stamp set with 13 stamps.  Many small flowers and stems and 3 greetings.  The colors I used are;  Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Sky. It really has that watercolor look – but in this photo I didn't make it watercolory (hope that's a word!).  But you can see the randomness of the flowers in the pic below.  If you look closely, they are not all on top of stems!  This could be a problem for those stampers who have to be "perfect".

Painted Petals 2The saying comes from the "An Open Heart" stamp set.  You can see that I sponged Soft Sky in the background and on the saying pennant which is popped up on dimensionals.  The button with a linen thread bow is a simple and perfect accent.

Painted PetalsAdding a simple ribbon to the frame – Blackberry Bliss, just gives it a perfect finishing touch!   This could be and will be an awesome gift!  I think this is the perfect solution to my wonderment about what to do for co-worker gifts this year.

Painted Petals 3The most stunning accent is the butterfly
