Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop! This month's theme is Making Sale-a-Bration Colorful. There are 2 colorful things that I LOVE in this years Sale-a-Bration! First is the Best Year Ever DSP. Second is that you can get Blendabilities for FREE during Sale-a-Bration! To celebrate that color, I made an Easter Banner for my fireplace. In addition to the Best Year Ever DSP and the Blendabilties, I used 2 stamp sets from the Occasions catalog – Cheerful Critters and For Peep's Sake.
I love the color combination of this DSP! Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, and Soft Suede. Creating a project is easy when you pull the color scheme from such gorgeous DSP.
As you can see, the cute critters on the banners are colored in. I LOVE using the Blendabilities. They are Stampin' Up!'s version of alcohol markers. Alcohol markers allow any person to be an expert colorist without trying too hard! Because they are alcohol, they dry fast – but they also blend well. If you look closely there are no "marker lines" – i.e. when you color with regular markers, you get darker areas where you've already colored but you color it again as you are coloring (hope that makes sense).
I added accessories from the Best Year Ever Accessory pack in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. Plus the full little Pom Pom Trim!
I hope you have enjoyed our first ever Creative Inking Blog Hop. Make sure to check out the other artists on the hop.
