Welcome to this month’s Creative Inking Blog Hop. This month we are focusing on 2 step stamping. It is one of the easiest techniques in my humble opinion that creates great dimension and a very cool finished look. I chose to use one of the most popular Product Suites from the new Stampin’ Up! catalog – the Color Theory Product Suite. The Product suite includes the Colorful Seasons stamp set which is bundled with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits which I have used on this card. My stash of sympathy cards was pathetically low, so I had to work on replenishing it!
What I love about the Colorful Seasons bundle is that it is a stamp set that can be used in all seasons, feminine or masculine – and can spand many generations making it a great staple in your stamp set arsenal.
For this card, I used Garden Green, Bronze Foil and Very Vanilla. Easy. Summer, fall or spring. I found that the leaves were very easy to line up the 2 step stamp because it is a photopolymer stamp set. . . love the peek through ability of the clear stamp!
Here you can see the great accent of the Copper Foil layer. You’ll also see that I flicked the finished pieces with the Soft Suede marker. I also used that marker to draw a line around the Stitched Shape oval which contains the sympathy greeting. It’s an easy accent that packs a punch.
Then check out the Copper Trim! It’s a loose-weave copper ribbon that has a zig zag pattern that can be pulled apart. Super fun to work with!
Check out these products in my Online Store! When you order $50 in merchandise this month, you get a Bonus Days coupon worth $5! Details here!
