As I promised yesterday. . . a post wishing you a Happy Owl-oween! Check out this super fun decor!
I LOVE, LOve, Love this decor piece! I wish it photographed just a bit better. . . but trust me, it is pretty freakin’ bootiful! I used some blocks I had in my “stash”. The blocks aren’t wood but they weren’t chipboard either. They are 3″ x 3″ panels. So easy to decorate! I started with 3″ x 3″ cardstock panels on 5 of the sides (I didn’t do the bottom). Then I added 2 3/4″ squares of the Spooky Night designer series paper from the new Holiday catalog. (You can check out Holiday catalog here).
You will love this designer series paper! One side is non-holiday themed and the other side of the paper contains Halloween themed prints. For this block, I cut the witch hat from the Halloween themed paper.
One of the super fun new bundles from the Holiday catalog is the Spooky Cat bundle which includes the Spooky cat stamp set and the Cat punch. For this block, I punched the cat out of the Spooky Nights paper using the Cat punch. The Vintage Crochet Trim is also new in the Holiday catalog.
Here’s another block showcasing the Spooky Nights paper – not just the background but the pumpkin is cut from the paper. Sometimes I forget to think about cutting images out from the paper – do you do that too?
Here is a 2 3/4″ piece from the Spooky Nights designer series paper. I just stamped the Owl on it using the Basic Gray archival ink pad. How fun is that! The Spooky Cat stamp set works perfectly with the Spooky Nights paper!
I invite you to get out their and try this fun and easy project!
