If you watched my YouTube video on Friday, you saw me make this Christmas Quilt piece. I couldn’t finish it because I was visiting my husband in Northern Minnesota and didn’t have all of the materials with me. (If you missed that video, you are going to want to watch it for the valuable tips and tricks I shared.) I did receive several emails asking how I was going to finish it so, here it is!
I decided to not use a traditional frame and hang it on a quilt hanger that I had purchased at a quilt store a while back. (That store is actually in the town where my husband is living with my Dad). I love how it turned out! It sure adorns my craft pantry door in a gorgeous fashion!
You can see that I added enamel dots to the center of the quilt pieces. Such a cute little accent! I mentioned the color scheme in my video (Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral).
And just so you know . . . the stamp set name – Christmas Quilt which is bundled with the Quilt Builder Framelits for a 10% savings is not named appropriately in my humble opinion – This is obviously not a Christmas Quilt!
I will make a prediction that this bundle will be a HOT item in the upcoming Holiday catalog from Stampin’ Up! It is available to order September 1! I will take your pre-order and have it ready to go! If you can’t wait that long, check out my Christmas Quilt Frame class!
