This is what happens when you fall in love with the Christmas Quilt bundle in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog and have a friend that you want to give a little gift to. I had this idea to make 5 little notecards to fit in the 3″ x 3″ envelopes which fit into a pizza box. I have a friend who likes to quilt and I know that she frequently honors others with gifts. . . including me. I wanted to show my appreciation for a recent gift I received and I thought this would be a gift that kept on giving.
I haven’t share one of the hottest accessories from the Holiday catalog yet. . .but I found these pizza boxes to be super fun to work with. One side of the box has the waxy glossy finish that can be put on the inside to add a food related treat to the inside. The other side is a matte finish. I found them very easy to put together.
Did you see the 3″ x 3″ envelopes in the Holiday Catalog? These envelopes fit inside the pizza box and then will accommodate this 3″ notecard. I used the Thick Whisper White cardstock to make the cardbase.
If you are nervous about all of the little pieces in this quilt set, don’t be. . . . just follow the video I made with valuable tips that will make “quilting” these notecards super easy!
I used 5 colors to make these mini quilts; Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Peekaboo Peach, Lemon Lime Twist and Powder Pink. The multipurpose adhesive sheets are a must have when creating these quilts!
I found that using 5 colors allows me to create variety and the beautiful visual impact when these mini quilts are assembled.
My customers are still loving making the quilt frames. This mother/daughter duo had fun this week in the Product Based Class! Lori is going to use hers as a Holiday decoration and Arlene is adding hers to her blue kitchen wall. You can check out the Christmas Quilt Class here.
Be sure and order your Christmas Quilt Bundle – the name is deceiving cuz it isn’t just for Christmas!
