Several months ago I was at a craft store and these letters were on clearance. . . I thought they would look great covered in one of our designer series papers. I chose to cover them in the Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper, what do you think of my newest mantel decoration?
The mixed metallics in the Year of Cheer designer series paper combined with the white background really makes the letters stand out! Adding some of the metallic edged ribbon is a bit of a perfect accent!
Just check out the FABULOUS accent the Foil snowflakes create when they are added to the back of the letters. These snowflakes have a been uber popular. There are 24 of them in a package – 12 of silver and 12 of gold.
Check out the punched out circles on the “s”. They are punched out from the Platinum Foil cardstock which is found in the Holiday catalog.
As I mentioned there are multiple metals represented in the Year of Cheer designer series paper. Copper, Gold, Silver and Platinum. Lovely!
I used the multipurpose glue to adhere the designer series papers onto the wooden letters. I did first paint the sides of the wooden letters with a metallic taupe acrylic paint.
If you are just now falling in love with this designer series paper, I have a class to go that is full of this lovely paper – it is called Snowflake Sentiments and you can see that class here.
Purchase these products (except for the wood letters) in my online store. Be sure and use a host code for a bonus gift from me!
