Yesterday I posted a card for the Stampers Dozen Blog hop, featuring Foils. It’s a GORGEOUS card that I have received a TON of comments about! Of the cards I made to consider for the blog hop, it was the best. Would you like to see the ones that didn’t make the cut? This card, while very beautiful, didn’t make the cut for the blog hop but, I am sharing it here for you to enjoy!
I used the Copper embossing powder with the Snowflake from Snowflake Sentiments for the background. I love how it stands out on the Soft Suede cardstock. The reindeer is from the Merry Mistletoe stamp set which is found in the annual catalog. Truly the Copper embossing and the Copper Foil cardstock make this card a true Metallic Shiner!
Here is the other gorgeous “reject”. I used the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper in 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ strips. The Greeting is from Santa’s Sleigh. The leafy type image comes from the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits (just had them in my scrap bin). And the highlight is the Copper 1/4″ trim.
I love the Year of Cheer designer series paper – I think I need to stock up before it is gone! This too is a gorgeous card with a layout that surely showcases the designer series paper!
Do you agree that This Card was the best for the blog hop? Or would you have chosen one of these?
