Southern Serenade, BJ Peters, Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog, #stampinBJ.com

Check out this Southern Serenade Beauty.  The beautiful flowers are a little breath of spring – which I need right now!   There is a little bit of a vintage feel to this card with the lace background and the lace edge stamp are what makes it so!

For those customers who love to pull out just 1 stamp set to make a card, the Southern Serenade stamp set comes with greetings included!   As a bonus – it’s in a fun font too!

You may be wondering how the leaves and the flowers are hanging over the edge of the oval.   Here’s how that works, I stamped the lace image and then the flower image.  Colored the flowers and then placed my Layering Ovals framelit.   Get on over to your Big Shot and die cut -BUT don’t send it all the way through, back it on out.  Just don’t cut that last edge.  Then use your paper snips to finish off the oval and cut around the leaves and flower.   Yes, a little fussy butting but a super nice look!

The circular greeting compliments the ovals.  The sizes of the circles are 1 1/2″ and 1 3/4″.  There are a couple more details that you need to check out;

  • The flowers are colored with the Clear Wink of Stella
  • Basic pearls adorn the center of the flowers and is complimented by a larger peal by the greeting.
