Today I am starting a good-bye tour with Garden In Bloom. This stamp set is retiring and it is one of my favorite retiring stamp sets. I counted that I have over 16 samples of this card in my stash. I like the bit of abstract design on this card. You can choose to have the outline detail stamp coordinate with the larger flower image or certainly do as I have done and use it more as a collage.
I used 2 retiring colors on this card; Rose Red and Pink Pirouette. The 1/4″ strip of designer series paper that I used is from the Tutti-Frutti designer series paper stack that is also retiring from the Occasions catalog.
Here is a very simple card using the Garden in Bloom stamp set. The butterflies were stamped in Tuxedo Momento Black ink and colored with Daffodil Delight Dark, Calypso Coral Dark and Bermuda Bay light Stampin’ Blends. The greeting comes from the Birthday Blooms stamp set which is also retiring. And, you can say good-bye to the Bermuda Bay satin ribbon as well.
Here is a past favorite card I created. I love the scored detail around the edges of this card. I don’t recall the exact colors of this card. You can certainly see how the outline image perfectly coordinates with the more solid flower image.
Be sure and check back each day for the next week and check out some of my favorite retiring stamp sets, papers, inks and accessories.
You’ll want to look at the Last Chance (Retiring) Lists here. Be sure and get your orders in quickly as some items are while supplies last!
