Today is #simplestamping Saturday.  I picked out the Wonderful Romance stamp set to use as I haven’t used it yet.  When I thought about simple stamping and where I was when I started stamping 20 years ago, I remember purchasing the watercolor pencils as one of my first purchases.  Here is why I purchased them;

  • they were affordable and I got a number of colors
  • easy to work with
  • My demonstrator showed me how to use them

Back then, I was more of a scrapbooker than a card maker.  I loved crafting.  I found I loved Stampin’ Up! products because of the color coordination and quality.  I was falling in love with Stampin’ Up!   Then I waited for one of my demonstrators to ask me to join the Stampin’ Up! family – no one ever did.  :(.   Finally I had to ask.  You can view my story here.

Moral of the story

EVERYONE can join the Stampin’ Up! family.  I would personally ask each of you if I could.  Stampin’ Up! embraces all kinds of demonstrators including those that are just interested in a discount for themselves (which was my initial thought).  If you have ever had a thought of joining Stampin’ Up!, now is the time with the $50 additional bonus of products + free shipping.  Consider yourself invited to join my team!

The watercolor pencils from Stampin’ Up! include 13 high quality smooth color pencils.  They are perfect to use with Aqua Painters, Blender Pens or just by themselves.  Stampin’ Up! colors include;  Basic Black, Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White.

To use the watercolor pencils, simply scribble inside the lines.  Yes, scribble.  Use a blender pen to smooth out the scribbles and you will be amazed at the results!
