Perennial Birthday

Welcome to May’s Creative Inking Blog Hop where we are featuring some of our favorite retiring products!   I’m SOOO excited for the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  BUT, I’m excited to share with you one of my favorite retiring stamp sets – Perennial Birthday!  So much so that with these samples, I have shared 20 Perennial Birthday cards!, Perennial Birthday, Stampin' Up!, Birthday Card

The number one occasion for which we send cards is birthdays!  So it makes sense to have a great birthday stamp set available, right?   The Perennial Birthday stamp set has 6 greetings and 8 coordinating images.  That makes me think that if I needed a really quick birthday card, I could pull out this one stamp set and voila! Quick and Easy birthday card underway!   And of course if you need ideas, I would suggest putting “perennial birthday” in the search bar of my website and you’ll have 20 samples to copy from!, Perennial Birthday, Stampin' Up!, Birthday Card

For this card, I colored with sponge daubers after stamping the images in black ink.  Plus I then embossed the image with the Subtle embossing folder.  Just another cute detail!

The bolded items in each “You Can Make It’ list are retiring products

Perennial Birthday Card #2.  For this card, I wanted to share another way to color the flowers.  A staple of coloring tools for most people are the Stampin’ Write markers and that’s what I used on this card.  Check out the color combo – it’s a unique one that I am pretty sure that I haven’t used this one before;  Bermuda Bay, Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody., Perennial Birthday, Stampin' Up!, Birthday CardThe technique I used on this card is a masking technique.  Basically I added a strip of post it note paper across the Whisper White cardstock and then stamped right over the top of it.  After removing that strip of post it note paper I added the greeting.
