Timeless Tulips

Welcome to April’s Stampers Dozen Blog Hop featuring all things spring!   I can personally attest to needing the freshness and temps that spring brings.  With our current pandemic and living in Northern Minnesota, I need green, 60’s, tulips, rhubarb and sun!   Are you with me?

For me tulips are a sign of spring so the Timeless Tulips bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Mini Catalog was a perfect choice for this blog hop!   I also wanted to remind everyone of the soon to retire 2018-2020 In Colors.   In this example I used Lovely Lipstick.   Will this be a color you will miss?

Ready to Rock n Roll?   The tulips are perfect for the rock and roll technique.  Have you ever tried this technique?  It is very easy!   Ink the stamp in the lightest color and then roll the edges in the darker color.  In this case I used Grapefruit Grove and Calypso Coral.  Grapefruit Grove and the Call Me Clover colors are also retiring shortly!

I this example I stamped the tulips, stems and leaves.  Then I colored around them with the light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend before removing the typing paper mask.  The largest tulip is stamped and then punched out with the tulip builder punch.  The epoxy droplets remind me of dew drops on the tulips.
