StampinBJ.com, Stampin' Up!, Stampers Dozen Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampers Dozen December Blog Hop featuring Holiday Happenings.   This will certainly be a different kind of Christmas without the big family gatherings.  I will miss my kids, grandkids, sisters, brother, in-laws, nieces and nephews.  To share my heartfelt sentiments, I wanted to create an easy but special treat for everyone.   At one of my local (shopping local) coffee shops, I found specialty hot cocoa packets.  Making an easy pouch and adding a tag to the packets became the answer to how I am going to share the warm heartfelt Christmas sentiments this year.

Merry Moose

StampinBJ.com, Stampin' Up!, Merry Moose, Easy & quick holiday giftsIn keeping with the heartfelt gifting theme, I used the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper from the Mini Catalog for the pouches.  I measured how much DSP I needed to wrap around the cocoa pouch and added a good 1 1/2″.  I also knew that I wanted the cocoa packet to stick out of the top.  My DSP ended up being 8″ x 5 3/4″.   I showcased the beauty of Stampin’ Up!’s DSP by folding over a 1/2″ of the coordinating back side on the front.

You will want to use Tear & Tape adhesive or Stampin’ Seal plus to create the seal at the bottom of the pouch and secure the end to make the pouch.  For this tag, I used the Merry Moose stamp set with Moose punch for this one creating a more masculine tag.

Warm & Toasty

To create the tags, I die cut Whisper White tags using the Tasteful Labels Dies from the Annual Catalog.  I liked the size of these tags as it gave me enough room to add an image, sentiment and a name while still having enough room to secure the tag with ribbon.

Christmas Gleaming

The Christmas Gleaming stamp set can be found on the Giant Year-End Closeout List

Gnome for the Holidays

StampinBJ.com, Stampin' Up!, Gnome for the Holidays, Easy & quick holiday gifts, Cocoa PouchesThis package is for my youngest daughter who just bought her first house.  I thought it was so fitting.  You may recognize the Toile Tidings Gift wrap (matches the DSP) from last year.  You will find this stamp set on the Giant Year-End Closeout List too!  (I love gnomes!)
