Doesn't this DSP just scream fun? I knew I wanted to create something with a variety of the pieces of DSP in this set. Here is what I came up with:
Kaleidoscope DSP #132995 $10.95
I used the postage stamp punch to punch out the squares. The greeting comes from Petite Pairs – which works perfectly with this layout. Do you see how I even followed the pattern to create some interest on the front of the card?
Don't you think it is just fun? The colors are so bright and vivid – and the patterns too just are plain fun.
I can't wait to use pieces of this on a scrapbook page. In fact -I did get the digital download of this DSP. . . .it will be fun!
This is the week that we show our loves just how much they mean to us. When you find that special gift make sure the packaging is as special as the gift. Here are a few ideas to inspire you.
Tag a Bag Gift Box #130927 $6.95
Easy way to create party favors, gifts & treats. Food safe. 8 boxes that come with acetate sleeves.
I used the Spiral Flower Die, Secret Garden Framelits, Banner Framlit, Modern Medly DSP and Adorning Accents embossing folder to finish off this treasure. I'll let you in on a secret – this box is for my love – and actually contains his gift!
Mini Muslin Bag # #132180 $9.95
I love the quality of these muslin bags! For this bag, I created a template using the small heart punch and sponge daubered Cherry Cobbler ink through the negative image onto the muslin bag. With our wonderful new ink pads – it works perfectly! The DSP is from Mosaic Madness. Secured easily to the bag with a safety pin! Inside this beauty, I added a favorite – chocolates!
Decorative Window Gift Box #132146
Ahh – the window gift box. . . creates the "wonder" when you can get a bit of a sneak peak! Red Glimmer paper die cut with the scalloped heart from the Hearts a Flutter framelits creates the perfect amount of bling! The small glimmer hearts are punched from the owl punch. I love this greeting – from Love You to the Moon stamp set in the Occasions catalog. W 133140 $24.95 C 133143 $$17.95. Stamped on Pool Party paper with a Whisper White scalloped border.
Are you inspired yet? Take the time to make sure you share your love for those whom make a difference for you everyday this week. We've all been reminded at times that life is short – and we "wish" we could have. . . . or would have. . . . This year, don't make it a wish – make it happen.
Isn't this gorgeous packaging? Seriously, the spiral flower die is so easy to make a perfect flower. Anyone can do it! I must like it if you look at how many times I have posted pics with it! LOL.
If you were attending my open house today and brought a friend – this is the bonus project you would be making! Yes – special access to the blue room for you and your friend!
I used Cherry Cobbler Coordinations cardstock and cut 2 pieces to make the flower look a little fuller. A trick I found if to run the die cut images through the big shot inside an embossing folder – it helps break the fibers to make this look oh so gorgeous. The finishing touches of the banner (Mosaic Madnes DSP), leaf from the Secret Garden framelits and Burlap ribbon #132140 $7.95 in the Occasions catalog finish off this project perfectly. The boxes are Stampin' Up! too! And they are very reasonable – 4 for $2.95. #124106.
Make your own 3-D flowers, perfect every time! Use the Spiral Flower Originals die to cut a scalloped spiral, roll it up, and there you have it–instant flower! Use with the Big Shot and Standard Cutting Pads.
Looking forward to seeing some of you at my open house today! Enjoy your day everyone! Make sure to share your smile with someone.
You all know that sometimes you see something that just inspries you . . . .such is the case here. I recently saw a non Stampin' Up! card that had a chevron pattern like this. Knowing that I had a bunch of 1/2" strips of this DSP, I had to try it. The outcome is certainly a bright card! Yes, that's it, 1/2" strips – leftovers that mose of the time we just throw away. So, I kind of recycled I guess! :) Pretty easy actually.
I love the colors of the Sweet Sorbet paper! Bright and cheery. Trendy too. It is a free item during Sale-a-Bration – it is one of the most poptular choices. You can see the pattern above which is easily replicatable – the 1/2" strips are adhered to white cardstock. I added a small focal point. Note how nice the Flower Shop stamp coordinates with the Petite Petals stamp.
In fact, way cool! I am really excited to introduce you to the new clear – photopolymere personalized stamps! It coordinates with the 1 3/8" circle punch – and you will need a clear block – B. I can just imagine the possibilities! Here are some of my ideas;

You can order these online and see a mock up of your finished stamp before you order. I can't wait to order one for myself! I would love to hear what ideas that you have for these personalized stamps – leave a comment with your ideas – share with all of us!
I love the new Hardwood stamp! I do hear frequently, "BJ I need masculine card ideas." When I saw this in the catalog, I did immediately think of masculine and you'll see upcoming samples that are more masculine than this one. I also wanted to challenge myself to see if this stamp was versatile enough to be used on a more feminine card. Here is what I came up with. Simple. I used the stamp set "You're Lovely" from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. If you're local, you could make this card tonight or tomorrow night at my Class. Call quick for more details.
"You're Lovely" pairs perfectly with the Deco labels framelits. The colors I used are pool party and soft suede.
Vivid Vases is a wonderful – single stamp set in the Occasions catalog. Single stamps are a perfect option for a quick card – most of them have a greeting with them – and this greeting can be used for multiple occasions. Quick and simple. Perfect too for a newer stamper that doesn't have a lot of stamps yet.
